Fishing Reports & News

Went for an evening drum fishing trip with Steve Masten and son Jonathan.  Only managed one, as it was a very lite bite.  Jonathan landed a 20 pounder that was released unharmed.  Beautiful sunset and moonrise.  The drum appear to be on the way out.  If interested, please contact us as we may have one good week left.

It's official Delaware Family Fishing took 1st Place in the "Ole Salt Bait & Tackle Memorial Week Flounder Tournament" with a 3.4 pounder caught by Ms. Barb Davis.  This was Delaware Family Fishing's first trip of the season.  We fished the Broadkill River and Lewes-Rehoboth Canal which feed the Delaware Bay.  Ms. Barb, Dr. Davis's mother, is visiting from Kansas and was joined by the doctor and her granddaughter Mattie.  Mattie also scored with a 2.6 pound flattie.  Dr. Davis added to the tally with a 19 inch bluefish.  Total for the day 6 flounder, 1 bluefish, 2 oyster toadfish, 1 sponge crab, and 2 horseshoe crabs.  It was a very fun and productive day, and a great start for Delaware Famliy Fishing and Captain Brian.
